I enjoy Mary Jane Butters writings - I suppose there is a place in my heart that is "farm girl happy" and anticipate her books and magazines. This particular offering arrived with a bit of initial dismay over the size of the book itself - so very small for the price. Even after reading the delightful material and playing with the neat inspirational magnets included, I still find it hard to justify the cost with the size - must be the "farm girl" calling out from me! Overall, this book with its lovely photography,magnets and recipes (which are delicious- I made them all, by the way) would make a great gift for the like minded.

if you long for a quiter and simpler time this book is for you. takes you back to the basics such as sewing,canning and cooking. beautiful pictures. after reading this i wanted to go out and start an organic co-op.

Common sense and farmgirl style combine in Mary Jane's beautiful book. The magnets have the most lovely pictures of the farm (gorgeous photos are possibly the best part of any book from the farm) and the book is jam packed with lovely recipes, great ideas for home and personal style. My favorite part are the quote magnets!!! This would make a great introduction to farmgirl living or a sweet little gift- one warning, you will likely go back to order her other books, food, magazines,etc...
